Regular Membership Benefits

Private hunt discounts
Any member that books a private hunt can apply the discount listed above to that hunt.  The member must be in the hunting party on the day of the hunt.  If more than one member is part of the hunting party, only one discount can be applied to the price of the hunt.  There is no limit to the number of private hunts a member can apply their discount to during the season.  This discount cannot be used with any other specials or discounts unless noted. (back to top)

Release your own hunts
These hunts are available to members only. On days that there are no private hunts scheduled members may use the facility for hunting or dog training by releasing the birds themselves. Bird prices are $15.00 for pheasants and $12.00 for chukar. The minimum release is 2 birds. Shooting scratch birds (more birds than you release) is not permitted. Dog handlers are available to set your field and guide your hunt for additional fees.

Members are permitted to bring immediate family members (spouse and children under the age of 18) or up to two guests without any additional charge. Non-members will not be permitted without being accompanied by a member.

These hunts can be arranged by calling Hillside Springs within three days of the desired hunt date. Our website will be updated daily to show open dates. The preserve will be available to all members and areas will be assigned and coordinated by management to prevent overcrowding. (back to top)

Scratch Tuesdays
Tuesdays will be open for members to scratch hunt for pheasants and chukar. There is a limit of two birds per member each day.  There is no charge for birds harvested.

Members are permitted to bring immediate family members (spouse and children under the age of 18) or one guest; however the bag limit remains at two birds per member. Non-members will not be permitted without being accompanied by a member.

The upland hunting areas will be available for all members every Tuesday between 8:00 AM and dusk unless it is a holiday.  In the event that a private hunt gets booked on a Tuesday, members will be given an alternate day to scratch hunt that week.  Members are expected to coordinate their hunts with other members hunting that day and maintain respectfully safe distances.
